To stay safe when online or using your Tech just remember these GOLDEN RULES:
- You will never be asked to provide personal details in emails or messages from any company it is illegal and if you come across anything unknown - Close it delete it or switch it off & Seek advice.
- DONT allow remote access to your PC, Laptop, phone or device......remember it is illegal to cold call you or message you out of the blue and request access to your equipment.
- DONT click anything asking to scan or check for problems or viruses unless you installed it ....ignore it and run your own anti-virus program e.g. from the start menu.....(if you don't have one download one and run it...see below)

Some rogue Virus programs can and do look very similar to ones in use by Microsoft, Norton and Legitimate antivirus companies please only ever use a Anti virus you know of and trust.
WINDOWS UPDATE
It may take ages or be quite annoying but always keep windows up-to-date.
Please don't under-estimate the importance of the security patches Microsoft send, although not enough to fully protect you it all helps to close those holes that are known of.
I hope this page can help with a often heavy topic and mine-field, as always its not a full guide but designed to provide a little incite and help.
